The springs of Turčianske Teplice have been used since the fourteenth century and rise at around 40 °C in the Turiec basin. Its landmark is the Modrý kúpeľ, the Blue Bath, whose nineteenth-century pool hall in blue tile survives inside the modern spa complex alongside newer thermal and family pools.
