Rajecké Teplice's warm springs have been used since at least the fifteenth century. The present spa, centred on the Aphrodite bathing house, is unusually architectural for its size: colonnaded halls, statuary and a lake in the middle of a compact, quiet town beneath the Malá Fatra mountains.
