Italy's most famous drinking water, in two woodland spa parks.

Fiuggi's cold, exceptionally low-mineral water has been drunk since the Middle Ages — Boniface VIII and Michelangelo both credited it with dissolving kidney stones — and it is bottled and drunk rather than bathed in. Two spa parks, Bonifacio VIII and Anticolana, distribute it from fountains among pine and chestnut woods.

Practical information

Open roughly April to November; the drinking cure is taken in prescribed glasses through the morning, with pools and treatments available separately. About an hour and a half from Rome.
