Bad Staffelstein's thermal brine is unusually rich in dissolved minerals, which gives the water a noticeably buoyant, salty character. The Obermain Therme circulates it through graduated indoor and outdoor pools below the pilgrimage church of Vierzehnheiligen and the Staffelberg hill.

Practical information

Ten minutes on foot from Bad Staffelstein station; the ThermenMeer pools and the sauna land are ticketed separately, with the strongest brine pools reserved for adults.
