Bad Staffelstein's thermal brine is unusually rich in dissolved minerals, which gives the water a noticeably buoyant, salty character. The Obermain Therme circulates it through graduated indoor and outdoor pools below the pilgrimage church of Vierzehnheiligen and the Staffelberg hill.
