VOYA sits directly behind the beach at Strandhill, where Sligo's surf breaks under Knocknarea. Baths are drawn with hot seawater and filled with wild serrated wrack cut by hand from the local shoreline; the seaweed wilts in the heat, releasing the gel that makes the water silky.

History
The Walton family, seaweed harvesters on this coast for generations, reopened seaweed bathing at Strandhill and built the practice into a bath house and skincare company, part of the wider revival of Ireland's once-vanishing seaweed baths.
Practical information
Baths are private, in singles or pairs, and booked in advance; sessions run about 50 minutes. Seaweed extract leaves a film on the skin that is best left on afterwards.
