Poland's first certified thermal resort, fed by hot water from beneath a medieval castle town.

Uniejów, a small town on the Warta river, became Poland's first officially designated thermal resort in 2012, four years after its geothermal baths opened. The water is drawn from Cretaceous sandstone more than two kilometres down.

Why visit

A well-designed, low-key alternative to the mountain thermal parks: brine pools, saline inhalation, and a castle park and Gothic-revival castle a short walk away.

Practical information

Indoor and outdoor pools operate year-round. The site is compact; combine a visit with the castle grounds and the town's heat network, one of Poland's first geothermal district-heating systems.
