Prospecting for oil near Bizovac in 1969 struck highly mineralised thermal water at close to 96 °C — among the hottest in Croatia — which is cooled before use. The resort combines recognised medicinal bathing and rehabilitation with a family water park on the Slavonian plain.

Practical information

Twenty kilometres from Osijek; the Aquapolis pools, the medicinal section and the hotel share the site. The undiluted water is scalding at source and never reaches bathers untempered.
