Reykjadalur — the valley of steam — lies above Hveragerði, where geothermal ground vents and hot streams feed a river that cools to comfortable bathing temperature along a marked stretch. There are no buildings and no attendants: the bath is the riverbed itself, with a boardwalk and a few changing screens.

Informations pratiques

A 3 km uphill hike from the car park above Hveragerði, about an hour each way. Stay within the marked bathing section, keep out of the boiling side channels, and take everything back down with you.
