Historia
The Romans built baths here in the first century AD. King Afonso Henriques convalesced at the springs in 1169, and Queen Amélia's visit in 1884 gave the main building its name.

About 40 minutes by car from Viseu and 1h15 from Porto; long-distance buses serve São Pedro do Sul.
