Geschichte
The borehole was drilled while prospecting for hydrocarbons in 1961; local bathing followed informally for decades before the resort opened in 2007.
Praktische Informationen
The salt hill itself is a protected formation and bathing on it is restricted; the pools are within the resort. Eger's wine cellars make an easy pairing.
Anreise
About 10 minutes by car from Eger and 1h45 from Budapest; local buses run from Eger.
