The Termal district above Yalova holds a group of thermal bath houses in a plane-tree valley: the Kurşunlu, Valide and Sultan baths, together with the small bath house built for Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

Storia

The springs were used in Roman and Byzantine times and restored repeatedly under the Ottomans. Atatürk visited frequently from 1929 and had a bath house and the nearby Walking Mansion built here.

The bath houses are ticketed individually; the Kurşunlu bath has both open-air and domed pools.

Ferry from Istanbul to Yalova, then about twenty minutes by road up into the valley.
