At Egerszalók, water of about 65–68°C from a 1961 exploratory borehole has deposited a broad white limestone hill. The Saliris resort sits below it, with terraced outdoor pools, indoor thermal water and a sauna world.

The salt hill itself is a protected formation and bathing on it is restricted; the pools are within the resort. Eger's wine cellars make an easy pairing.
