At Maʿin, thermal water rises in the hills above Wadi Zarqa Maʿin and falls as a series of hot cascades into a gorge some 260 m below sea level. Bathers stand under the main waterfall; further pools and a Roman-style bath serve the adjoining resort.

Histoire
The springs have been used since antiquity and are traditionally identified with the baths visited by Herod the Great, who sought treatment at Callirrhoe nearby.
Informations pratiques
Modest swimwear is expected; the public waterfall area is busiest on Fridays. The resort section requires a day pass.
