Hammam Essalihine, known in Roman times as Aquae Flavianae, is an enduring thermal-bathing site at El Hamma near Khenchela. Two open-air Roman pools—one circular and one rectangular—remain the centrepiece of a larger bathing complex in the forested Aurès foothills.
