The Yampah spring delivers water at about 50°C to a pool complex on the bank of the Colorado River. The main pool, roughly 123 m long, is tempered to around 32°C, with a smaller therapy pool held closer to 40°C.

Historia

The Ute people used the spring long before it was enclosed; the pool and the adjoining Hotel Colorado opened in 1888, drawing figures from Theodore Roosevelt to Doc Holliday.

Información práctica

Day tickets are sold for the pool; the adjacent lodge and spa are booked separately. Peak summer afternoons and school holidays are the busiest periods.
