Daruvarske Toplice sits in a park at the foot of Petrov vrh in inland Croatia, on the site of the Roman settlement of Aquae Balissae. Its hot mineral springs supply both a modern thermal complex and older bathing pavilions.

Historia
The springs were exploited in Roman times as Aquae Balissae; the modern spa was developed from the 18th century under the Janković family, who built the bathing pavilions that still stand in the park.

Daruvar lies roughly two hours by road from Zagreb, with regional bus and rail connections; the spa is within walking distance of the town centre.
