Termas Pallarés grew in the 1860s around the Lago Termal, a spring-fed thermal lake several thousand square metres in size, part of it under a rock vault. The surrounding buildings and gardens preserve the atmosphere of a Belle Époque cure resort on the Madrid–Zaragoza road, with the lake itself remaining the main bathing attraction.
