The Podhale geothermal field was developed from the 1990s; the Bukovina complex opened in 2008 and has expanded steadily since.

Weekends and Polish school holidays are very busy; arriving before mid-morning helps. Sauna areas are ticketed separately.

About 30 minutes by car from Zakopane or 1h45 from Kraków; buses run from both.
