Terme Berzieri opened in 1923 and remains the emblem of Salsomaggiore: a monumental façade in ceramic and stone, and interiors of majolica, gilding and Deco stucco by Galileo Chini. The water is an ancient fossil seawater brine, exceptionally rich in salt, iodine and bromine, used in inhalation and balneotherapy rather than recreational swimming.
