The smallest of the Bohemian spa triangle, Františkovy Lázně was laid out from 1793 as a single planned resort in ochre and white. Its cure rests on cold carbonated mineral springs and local peat used in warm mud packs, and the town is inscribed with the Great Spa Towns of Europe.
